Phasmid Color Change Study

If you have a phasmid, specifically the Vietnamese walking stick, you should contribute your color change observations for the color change study.  A student at the University of Education in Karlsruhe is collecting data to try and figure out the cause of different color changes (what makes them turn brown versus green, etc.).

Pet Lynx Bites Girlfriend in Washington

A man's pet lynx in Bellevue, Washington bit his girlfriend after escaping from his cage.

The woman has severe bite wounds on her arm but is expected to be alright.

Lynx are illegal to keep as pets in Washington state and the cat is currently in quarantine.

Monkey Bites Three People in North Carolina

A pet monkey escaped from his home in a North Carolina and bit three people while running around scared.

Monkeys are illegal to keep as pets in Asheville, North Carolina, along with the drugs that were found in the home of the woman who owned the monkey.

The monkey, a marmoset named Cous Cous, was euthanized.
